Bamboo Uganda Documentary
byGorilla Tapes is currently producing a documentary with Bamboo Uganda exploring the growing role of bamboo as a sustainable solution to deforestation, environmental degradation, and rural livelihoods in Uganda.
The documentary follows the work of bamboo farmers, industry players, and conservation advocates, highlighting how bamboo is creating opportunities through sustainable farming, carpentry, construction, and local innovation. Through intimate storytelling and on-ground documentation, the film captures both the environmental urgency driving this movement and the communities shaping its future.
As a production company passionate about conservation and storytelling, this project aligns closely with Gorilla Tapes’ mission of documenting African stories that connect people, nature, and culture.
